Music Extractor

With this tool you can extract Need for Speed Most Wanted soundtrack (http://www.nfstuning.com/needforspeed/mostwanted/soundtrack.php).

Follow these steps:

Download NFS Music Extractor archive
Extract it to you hard drive
copy MW_Music.mus file from \SOUND\PFDATA\ in your NFS directory to the folder where you have extracted this tool
Run Go!.bat


28 WAV files will be created in the same folder where the tool was run.

Attention: You'll need at least 2 GB (Full Version) or 350 MB (Demo Version) free disk space.

Unfortunately no. But still you can mute in-game music and before launching Need for Speed Most Wanted run your audio player (e.g. JetAudio, etc.). That may result slower game loading because the player will use some RAM and CPU resources, therefore you might want to choose some light player like Media Player Classic or something like this.

I used this extractor and it worked great! The thing is, now I want to extract music from NFS Underground and I can't find the proper tool to do it ... there is this one site that claims to have it but it won't let me download! Does someone know where I might find one?

hey how come when i run go.bat it skipped tool 2 and went on to tool3 then nothing happened can somebody help?

:-s same happened to me - ;) you've gotta extract everything into a separate folder then copy 'MW_Music.mus' to the same folder. Then clicking the 'Go!..bat' file should work after 1. pressing a random key 2.not touching until Phase III finishes and its says 'press any key to continue'. it will exit and the folder in the folder you made saying 'songs' has the files. (do not touch the files before the msdos.exe exits):-& done8)
