Fastest Car in Carbon

What do you think is the fastest car in carbon?

For me BMW M3 GTR is the fastest because it is an exotic yet it can turn like a tuner.

Any comments/suggestions?

I think you mean "best" rather than "fastest", because handling has nothing to do with speed really. All in all, however, the Audi Le Mans quattro is the best overall car in Carbon.

Yeah, but the problem with Exotics is that they never feel fast until you carch the speedo swingin' around the naughty side of the dial (in my case, 180mph). Muscle cars feel really fast, and they beat the Le Mans on acceleration.

That's very true but when I first looked at the corvette I never thought it was a muscle car but apparently it is. 8)Well, the Corvette is a cross between all three classes - it has the heart of a muscle car, the handling of an exotic and the availability of a tuner (there's no limit to production numbers!).

The Ford GT is probably an exotic, because it handles well and was only in production for 2 years. On the other hand, it packs a blown 5.4 Boss V8 - basically a Shelby GT500 engine, but with a screw-type supercharger replacing the Roots blower.

The Le Mans isn't that good. The engine's too peaky, especially at 2000rpm (where it hangs at around 3000rpm for a second on full throttle). Sounds too much like a Gallardo V10 (the Le Mans V10 is a 5.2 litre version of that engine).

well, the srt-10 and zo6 are my choice to beat carbon. they have awesome accel. and they reach their topspeeds in a short time. i guess the only way to find out is to mess with the setups

I did it on the long (semi) straight on Steyne Aquaduct

I know there are vids of people doing over 500 legaly but that is with the slingshot you get from slipstreaming.

Seeing as this thread is full of exotic fanboys, I'm guessing that this is about top speed.

I'd say the same as Razor, but in acceleration the Charger R/T takes the win - big surprise considering it's Tier 2.

The BMW sucks for speed, it only reaches 323KM/H, now the Audi Le Mans Quattro on the other hand reachs up to around 390-400KM/H, I don't know, I haven't tested it yet.

So for each stat, the best car is:

Speed: Audi Le Mans Quattro
Acceleration: Viper
Handling: Not sure, but I like the Lancer for this one.

Now IMO, (remember, this is just IMO) the best car is the SLR Mclaren, speed, acceleration and handling are all very good for it if you know how to drive it.
So since the Wii version, which I play, has no drift button or whatever like the 360 version, I just usually tap speedbraker twice, and it drifts my car to a nice straight line for the next road, or of it's a long turn, but still kinda sharp, I just use oversteer, this tactic is very good for Mclaren drivers, but if I had the 360 version, I'd be drifting A LOT!

My Viper has better acceleration than my Charger, but maybe that's because I tuned my Viper for acceleration and not my Charger.

Try tuning the Charger properly and it will kill everything in a straight line, and in drift racing.

Umm... no. What happens is that the Viper gets its ass handed to it by the Vette and Charger, because both feature big-cube V8s. On the other hand, the Viper has a puny exotic-trash V10.

Autosculpt's nice if you want to put in subtle changes on the 60s muscle cars, but on the tuners and exotics it just looks plain ugly.

I don't. I get my facts from mates, and the drag strip. Whatever a company claims, it's probably slower (especially with exotic cars). I know from my mates that the 426 Hemi was one of the most underrated engines ever; it was quoted as producing 425hp, but the reality was closer to 500 - Chrysler wanted to sneak up on Ford and Chev back in the 60s. I know from my mates that if it wasn't for the crappy tyres on muscle cars, they would be even faster stock.

So put a cork in it.

Tbh, the fastest ACCELERATION goes to Charger R/T (I'd still beat it with skyline), but the top speed goes to SLR for sure. (In don't think you can drive the Audi in career[?])

i just gotta say, i do own a corvette z06, which is why i picked the car in game, and i have found that overall for career the z06 has been amazing, it may not have greatest handling in the world but its acceleration makes it possible to destroy all competition, and it's got a pretty amazing top speed once you take it all out, i tune everthing for top speed and just the fact that it still accelerates amazingly is great, in the game as a whole the audi that darius drives is a beast though, only real downside is i wish they'd have a 1969 dart with a 426 availible, god those are faster that the devil on his way to a strip joint.
