-Sagwa:banana:Sagwa, I didn't pull the thread. Kelmas was moving all of you and Drk Guy's offtopic posts to the Galah Sessions thread, and something got mixed up. It got deleted. I was going to recreate the Galah Sessions thread. I never wanted to pull it!
[quote=Kelmas, in a private message]I tried to move your post up, but the only way was to delete above posts. I did so, but forgot that when first post gets deleted, the whole thread disappears...
Can you please re-create the thread?[quote]
Please, let me give it a fair chance ;)
I'm recreating the thread.

BTW, you can't actually delete your own threads, you know that? By 'pulling it', you ask Kelmas to delete a thread.
I've recreated Galah Sessions. This thread's gotta bite the dust, as it's a repost of an idea already posted by someone.
Repost = Post that someone already posted before.

No, Galah sessions will bite the dust

No, Galah sessions will bite the dustIt's just the way it has to be. Either Sagwa turns it into a fan thread for Chococat or it bites the dust. Galah Sessions has to remain, and you read the quote from Kelmas?
Drk Guy

Nobody who drives a muscle car uses traction control - it's best to just use the power to get you through corners without it being stuffed by a TCS system.
But modified muscle doesn't have to handle like crap - here in Australia, muscle cars are our life and it's easy to install a modern three-link suspension, some wider rear tyres and decent brakes - they now stop and handle like modern cars, but go like only a V8 could.

Two ways to fix the brakes - either install a brake booster for a few hundered bucks, or go the better (and more expensive) way by installing decent-sized discs - with a booster.
Besides that, the 289 has plenty of punch.

You can keep your fancy all-wheel-drive systems and traction control.
If I had some American or Australian muscle, I sure wouldn't need traction control, all-wheel-drive, turbos and DOHC to blow the doors off any Evo or WRX or that stuff that is unfortunate enough to come within my crosshairs. Period.

I don't think it would just need a new paint job - something that old would surely need a restoration and an engine rebuild. Can you get pictures? $2000 is damn cheap for a Chevelle - the guy obviously doesn't know what he's giving away.
Buy it. Deals like that are very hard to come by - you're very, very lucky he's not selling it for $20k or more.

I can't afford it. I can hardly afford insurance for my S2000. Sporty cars like that are what insurance companies pounce on ( BTW, when you're with All State, you're NOT in good hands.) It has an ugly brown paint job, but it is very cool. I can try to get pictures, if its not already sold. While on the subject of good deal cars, there was also an Slr McLaren that sold for just $15k on eBay!!

Meh. I tend not to stuff around with insurance companies. Maybe Shannons Insurance - they're all about muscle cars and their rates for V8s are comparatively cheap compared with other companies - but for the most part, I don't care. If I write off my car by parking it up a tree at 150mph, so be it. I'll just get a muscle car. I've been waiting for the time to flog off the car. I and a few friends pieced it together. First we found a pair of Garrett GT45s in the garage, destined to sit atop some customer's Ford 460 big-block Falcon, but the project never saw the light of day.
In fact, I didn't pay much for that twin-turbo 10-second Skyline sitting in my garage. Maybe when I get something like a HQ Monaro...

It doesn't need an extra turbo. The FQ400 version already has 400 BHP. That's by far enough.

You must be mentioning a race Evo - no four-cylinder on PUMP fuel can muster 400hp - you would need octane booster, or race fuel (nitromethane, anyone?) Still, the slowest muscle car mustered 410 hp.

I reckon it would still be a circuit warrior than a drag racer - nothing touches muscle in that area.

You know that over here we have burnout competitions? Performing a burnout is an art. You can't just use a line-locker, you need a good car with a torquey engine. Like a V8 - shown in the picture above. Over here the V8s are so powerful they can keep frying tyres until they explode - and when that happens, that's a sight to see.

Let's get something straight. The Evo I and II are classic Rally cars. Rally is the best driving sport hands down.
A stock Evo is in no way a ricer car. Dumbfuçks ruin Evos by modifying them.
Rally > LeMans > F1 > DTM > GT > Drag > NASCAR
STREETFIRE
09-23-2007, 08:33 AM
I should make a poll for this.
Yeah, rally is good - you get to see some good sideways action. But drag is my favourite. Best variety of cars, biggest speed and the crashes can be spectacular... and tragic. Doug and Winschy may have heard about the 'Troy Critchley Tragedy', where Troy lost control of his Pro Mod dragster and crashed into the barrier. Six people died.
And I didn't say stock Evos... all those ricers flocked to Mitsubishi dealerships in the early 90s and riced their new Evos... then later sold them and now a large percentage of them have now ended up as rusted-out junk that was totally f***ed by those ricers.
I don't hate Evos. I just hate their reputation and what people do to them. While the WRX STi says "I wish the WRC was back on television", the Evo says "Hey dawg, wanna get some fart-cannons?" Ricers have destroyed the Evo's reputation. Not to mention those movies like 2Fast 2Furious - they only continued the ricer $#!t.

I only mod an Evo on it's engine, you know, ECU and that kinda $#!t, but i leave the exterior stock, the Evo always had a good aspect, it only needed some tweaking from the xperts, i realiazed that, and the only thing i barely change from the exterior is the color, and some cool vinyls...
