Aight, i remember playing this game 6 years ago and now installed it on windows XP. Everything works fine, except that the car's interior has got a low-quality. I tried to install the windows xp patch that was included in the tutorial, but it didn't help. I've also tried setting all graphical settings to max but it doesn't help neither. If i zoom inside the car while I'm in garage, the interior and speedometers look fine, but yeah, this problem occurs only when i go to race. Here's a picture (some why i lost the steering wheel when i took a picture).

I have played this game since 2000 and the interior graphic has always been poor.....did not matter what video card i used always the same....but I use the bumber camera so i just ignored it and drove on :)

It's just the way the games engine works, it's most likely the way it goes to improve performance.

Some game engines are know for doing this.

I agree the gauges in the cars look blurry and ugly looking. I have been editing cars in nfs porsche for a while (and still do:drunk:) and for one of my favourite creations is my 356 Camo Police Car. I replaced the gauges with 911 turbo gauges and edited them to some simple and easy to read lol!
