Hello all,
I used to play NFS Porche like a madwoman when I was a kid, and recently I started to miss it. I installed it just fine, but when I start the game, I get a brief flash of a black screen, quickly followed by nothing.
Doing a check of running processes, after attempting to start the game, shows that the game is not running.
I am running Windows 98 (i know, i know: my computer is a fossil) and the game is version 3.5. Is it possible that the patched version (3.5) is not meant for win 98? I used to run the original game on this same machine, but it crashed a lot mid-track, so I stopped playing. Now it won't even start.
I've tried uninstalling it, then cleaning the registry and temp files, restarting and trying again. No go. Any suggestions? I've got a need for speed-- and playing with the pretty cars. Mostly for playing with the pretty cars.
Thank you very much in advance,
Madeleine.:)
