Hi.. I've a problem with the game.. when I enter the race it's just too slow, like when you don't have graphic card which doesn't suitable to play normally this game.. I have geforce fx 5200 128mb and P4 3.0 cpu... so it has to work fine but It does not.. What can I do to fix this problem? ( I have loaded all patches...)

ps: Also in the start menu I can barely read some of the letters!!

As for me, game runs fine, but menu letters are distorted too. NFS 5 seems to be incompatible with new Nvidia's graphics cars. I have Nvidia GeForce 6200 TurboCache. And later when I had ATI Rage Fury Pro, the game ran just perfect.

I was looking for information to make NFS Porsche Unleashed run smoothly on Win XP systems ant latest hardware, but no luck. Somebody were able to tune their Nvidia's drivers to escape mentioned problems, but for this moment I don't have a solution... :(

Hi, I'm new here, but the solution I can give is: maybe you can run it in compatibilty mode? The first time I re-install it in my new rig, it won't load (stuck in loading screen). Then I did the patches (as written by Kelmas), and still, it refused to run.
When I look somewhere around (sorry, can't remember the link), I find that I can use compatibility mode. I run it in Win98 compatibilty mode, and it ran frame-by-frame. Then I try to "play" with the AA and AF, still won't work.
Then when I chose Win2000 compatibiltiy mode. It runs flawlessly!

My Rig is Pentium D805, 512M of RAM, and a 6200A (AGP) 128M.

i think you should try to reinstall your windows, or install the latest version of drivers for your card. Other solution is to find a copy of nfs2000 not prosche unleashed. By my opinion porsche2000 runs better than porsche. Also installed the enhanced 3.5 version of patch. I have no probs runing nfs2000 on my comp: Intel Cor 2 Duo, 4GB DDR2 800MHz, nVidia GeForce 8500GT
