A woman in Batesville, Indiana, who allegedly rammed two police cars and fled from police said she ran because she didn't have any clothes on.
Batesville Deputy Chris Little said he investigated a suspicious vehicle in a park around 3:30 on Tuesday morning. When he went to investigate, the Chevrolet Lumina started up and headed straight for him, before leaving the park at speed.
Little said he then called in a pursuit to police dispatch, and was told the car was registered to Miroslava Benton, 31, who was later identified as the driver.
According to Little, Benton made several attempts to elude him by circling through the park and going under the river bridge.
Along with other deputies, Little attempted to set up a "rolling road block" by positioning a police car at the front, side and rear of Benton's car. Or perhaps they were trying to get a good look?
Clearly knowing something about defensive driving, Benton turned to the left, hitting a patrol car and getting out of the road block.
When Benton was finally stopped and arrested, she reportedly told officers she was "running because she didn't have any clothes on."
Benton was allowed to dress and then taken to jail, where she was charged with felony fleeing in a vehicle, aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and no proof of liability insurance.
